So, if you were looking at 5.1 or 7.1, it just depends how much you want to spend, really, and if the extra money is worth the 2 extra speakers. Even if they are shaped differently, odds are their the same speakers inside. I'm not sure about the Creatives, but most speaker sets like this use the same speakers for all the satellites, so the sound quality between them will be the same, and the price difference is pretty much just a premium for getting more speakers. True, there is a big price gape between ~$150 and ~$300+. Any 5.1 speakers better than these (wattage wise, etc) and the price jumps up dramatically to the point that not only can I not afford them, but I'd not spend that much money on PC speakers even if I had the money. The T5400's seemed to be a good price ($120) for a 5.1 system. For example, 5.1 speakers I've found are in the range of $80-130 but then anything more powerful jumps up to $250+
